-Last as long as a traditional suntan, about 7 days. It may last longer depending on the post care and condition of your skin.
*It is recommended to have a spray tan 2 days prior to a special occasion. If you have a special event on Saturday night, we suggest that you spray tan Thursday.
Prepare (prior to tan)
-Shower & exfoliate. Do not use oil based exfoliates. Sugar with a little water is perfect. Scrub the body with a wash cloth or soft loofah. Be careful not to damage the skin.
-Make sure the body is free of moisturizers & perfume.
-Shave any unwanted hair.
-Manicures and pedicures prior to spray tan.
Tanning Session Day
-Shower gently if needed, but do not apply moisturizer, deodorant, or perfume.
-What do I wear during the tan?
You enter the "NO JUDGEMENT ZONE" when you receive a Healthy Sol Tan. Our technicians are trained/certified and assure you that you will feel at ease with our process. You want to be tan so that you feel a little more confident in what you are wearing or for your special occasion. People get tanned for many different reasons. We have tanned people wearing shorts and a tee shirt. Wear as little or as much as you want. It's your tan...your choice.
-Remove all jewelry.
-Bring a hair tie to keep the hair off the neck.
-Inform me if there are any skin issues.
-Wear dark loose clothing post spray tan and flip flops.
-Wait about 8-12 hours before showering. The spray tan technician will discuss the time with you.
-Wait until after your first shower to exercise.
-If anything looks like it spots, runs or darker in a crease, do not try to fix it.
- Do not be alarmed if your face looks too dark later that day or when you wake up in the morning.
-Remember there is a cosmetic bronzer sitting on the surface as your tan develops underneath. You will see a little color run off in your first shower, so do not worry. It will look beautiful and natural after your first shower.
-Use a gentle sulfate free body wash, do not use bar soap. Do not use Dove soap. Scrubbing , exfoliating, shaving or waxing will cause the tan to fade more quickly.
-Moisturize your skin to prolong the tan. Moisturizer morning and night.
-Use pure oils such as coconut, olive, avocado, sunflower or a clean moisturizing lotion.
